Hey so I'm considering ISP's and I'm wondering what the best one would be to go with, as I use a unifi security gateway currently and would like to continue using that.

However I remember being on orcon and finding it unnesseseraly difficult to get their modem to go into bridge mode and just gave up, so I'll probably avoid them.

My next thought is 2degrees since they use fritz boxes and those are supposed to be good, what are your thoughts on this?

Ps this place only gets VDSL

You can pick up a Huawei hg630b or hg659b that do bridge mode from Trademe. if you don't mind an older model, you can even go with a telecom / tenicolour tg589vn v2. The 589 abd 630 are dirt cheap.

I think bridging was removed from fritzbox firmware ages ago. Great all in one unit though - you could probably sell it if you did as suggested above and got a draytek :)
