Recently looking into Voyager as a UFB provider, previous thread provided good information on the ISP as a whole.
Question Two: i would like to get opinions on the router offerings or if there is something better i could be purchasing. Where i stand currently there are two immediate options
- Keep my existing VF Router, the Vodafone Station (https://www.vodafone.co.nz/cms/documents/vodafone-station-user-manual-complete.pdf)
Apparently this Router is fiber ready (Using the Gig port i assume?)
- Purchase the Router on offer at Voyager Zyxel8324 @ $225
Or....something else entirely.
Reason i am asking opinions on here is that I'm a pretty simple creature with this sort of thing, it either works or it doesn't.
Most connections are WiFi (including Sky), although the likely best install point for fiber will be behind the TV and thus Sky can be moved to the LAN. I notice the VF router is 10/100 on LAN i don't think this would be an issue, currently WiFi with a short buffer works flawlessly.
Between those in the know with this sort of equipment, whats good out there?
Cheers
RB
