So we are moving offices and hoping to trade from the new office come last day of June.
As part of the Lease the very very very very first thing was to lodge the consents with Chorus (through the landlord) so we could get the ball rolling. While at the start the building came up as a MDU which Visonstream quickly noticed and threw back to Chrorus as a single-dwelling install that delayed us by a few days.
Just had the scoping done today with the friendly Chorus installer who pulled the fibre straight to the front door. He believes its an "afternoon-job" as we have suspended ceilings etc. which makes the install pretty straightforward.
So checked with our Provider (Inspire) and been advised that install is scheduled 24 July. Now that's a great Birthday Present but 4 weeks after we are set to move in.
Now before anyone jumps on the bandwagon, I know EVERYONE wants their Fibre installed right this very minute so I'm not trying to 'get it just to have it right now'. However as there is zero copper in the building (which means no short term ADSL, VDSL option) and we operate a non-stop service with VOIP telephony its not quite as easy as throwing in a 4G router and hoping for the best (however we may well need to look at that as an option).
Has anyone had experience with accelerating a UFB install with a valid reason (as in no copper-fallback and a short window to occupation date)?
