Hi guys,
Can anyone recommend me a good ISP to go with in Dunedin(Besides Orcon) For heavy gaming/downloading(predominantly youtube/torrents) with good speeds/service etc?

At home I have Wireless Internet..

Connected at 1mb/s Down - 1mb/s Up

www.wic.co.nz

They do Unlimited bandwidth :)

Nice prices also..

----------------------------------------------------------------------

At work we have Xnet DSL - Plan= Flood - Data pack= Torrent  (75GB free 12am-8am)

www.xnet.co.nz

We are on the South Dunedin Exchange - It now has ADSL2+

Our Router Syncs at:

Line Rate - 16,892 Kbps Down / 945 Kbps
Attainable - 22,236 Kbps Down / 945 Kbps

Did a Speedtest.org   test right now we get

7874kbps Down -  777kbps Up

Its not ADSL2+ but still great  speed 24/7

Hope this helps

I have Xnet Flood off NEV exchange for the last month or so. Been very happy with it. The only thing that is ever slow is nzherald.co.nz.
Usually sync mid to high 8000s, allegedly on an ADSL2+ profile.
Had not done a speed test until writing this post, but I'm pretty happy with this

Presume the torrent plan would work out for your purposes.

Lol mint..
Ohh if u know anyone on Xnet already.. You can use their number as a referral and Xnet will credit their account with some $$..

If you get a chance post back your speed tests with your new connection.
