Hi,

Just wanting some feedback on fibre speeds, I have just recently signed up to compass on a 100/20 plan

however, these speeds seem some what slow, my previous ISP maintained a stable 100/20 minimum.

Surely I must have been put on the incorrect plan?

Is this test done over Wi-Fi or Ethernet?

You're highly likely to be on a Chorus 30/10 (actually 5x/1x) profile... It could either be a normal part of a provisioning process that might fix itself in a day or so, or you may need to ask for it to be looked into. (The giveaway here is the very consistent speed at those levels)

Cheers - N

Thanks John, N & Jase for your comments,

I will have too ask some questions, its been 48 hours since connection, however why would

and how would a wrong provision be done? excuse my ignorance but is it still just an incorrect

keystroke for assignment?

Cheers

Have you received confirmation of which plan you have been put on? I would give them a call.

Although if you haven't already, try power off the ONT for 10-15 minutes then turn it back on and then run another speed test to check whether there be a difference in speeds. The ONT is the white box where the fibre comes in with Chorus logo on it.

Interestingly, I'm on 100/20 with Spark, and recently I've been getting 100/30 rather consistently.  I'm not going to complain.

if you flick me your account i'm happy to look..

Suspect chorus may have left you on 100/50?

I'm sure Spark didn't leave me on 100/50 as it's been a very consistent 100/20 since November last year.

Thanks, but I think I'll keep my head down!

Ok fellow zoners, had a reply today and from ISP end they are saying that the provisioning

is correct? I've run other tests to other servers and things just get from bad to worse, I had

a solid 100/20 also on spark but I maybe moving soon hence the shift to a non-contract.

What could be up? or down :-) to be exact.

Cheers

@iDruid I would go back again and ask them how / what they checked?

Hey, I could post what they sent me but I don’t think
That’s fair either or is it? They pretty much said they checked
Their end and with chorus and my provisioning is correct
They sent me a screenshot of a dashboard app I’m guessing

Cheers
Dan

@Linux   -  three days earlier was stable 100/20

The plan provisioning on our end and Chorus’s end is 100/20 as per the provisioned plan in the screenshot above.

Can you please advise if the speed test was run with a direct connection via Ethernet or Wireless?

Can you also attempt different servers and see if the result remains the same?

Final step would be an Ethernet connection to ONT (Fibre box) and see if the results are the same.

Kind Regards,
