I have spent a frustrating time trying to get a DLink DIR 300 Wireless Router to pick up a DHCP address from the Telstra cable modem. It picks one up from the existing DLink modem but fails to do so from the Telstra Motorola modem.  Thoughts ?? I have reset a thousand times upgraded the firmware, and am about to return it to the point of purchase.

The modem DOESN'T give out an address. TelstraClear cable connections are setup using a static IP. The technician should have given this info to you, or you can call up telstraclear to get your settings.

Long time since I installed the first router.  So I forgot  this small point.. DUH.  Thanks very much for the reminder.  All as they say is going fine.
