Hi Fellow Geekzoners,

Has anyone successfully used Vodafone HG659 Hub on other ISP networks?

I'm planning on switching providers due to Vodafone not being able to match other promotions.

Thanks

It works fine. I've got a few Vodafone HG659's configured for other ISP's.

Also, don't switch to the cheapest ISP as there are reasons behind them being cheap just FYI - I've got a blog post in my signature.

That's Awesome, would it work with 2degrees?

It will work with any RSP.

Obviously you will receive absolutely no support from any other RSP unless you use their hardware, and considering 2degrees supply a Fritzbox which is fully supported (and is a better device than the HG659b in many ways) I don't see why you'd want to keep using the HG659b.

thinking of going month to month, but then there are added connection fees.

Just looking at my options as my account with vodafone ends next week.

Take a look at Voyager also. They’re a good ISP with no contracts.
