I've been having some issues with my VDSL lately and decided to go on a research crusade. I've read all the relevant threads on the topic and I feel pretty confident I understand the basics.

My modem is a Draytek Vigor 130 and I'm on 2 Degrees.

My first point of call was my wiring. I have no landlines so i disconnected all but one phone jack And my speed did increase a bit, but my error rate didn't go down. DLM chopped me back a bit but it's now taken me back up to 30mbps with lots of errors.

Next I tried adjusting my SNR margin delta. This didn't make much difference to my error rate.

Here is a screenshot of my modem stats. Basically, are these error rates too high? And if so, should I contact my ISP to get it sorted?

whats the uptime in the ab

FEC's are not too bad, its the CEC's you dont want.

can you disconnect the wiring for any of the other phone jacks? this could help a little

does the cable from the wall to the modem run near any power cables or supplies? i find if the kids get stuff behind the tv it can move the cable and i end up with a lot more FEC/CEC errors on my line

Have you run a new cable from ETP to jack-point and replaced with new jack-point?

Rather high FEC's is often a sign of EMF.

try checking your dsl cable doesn't run alongside a noisey powersource.

Yeah I've done this, connected the incoming cable to a single jack and disconnected the others. It's a very old house so back in the day someone just spliced the two other jacks into the cable about halfway down it under the house. Not the prettiest job. When I checked it out the cables in the scotchloks were corroded so these have been replaced.

Yeah unfortunately it's right next to a lot of cables but there's nothing I can do to move this. I don't own the house. This is probably it.

I haven't run a new cable but as I was saying I've removed all superfluous jacks from the chain. As far as I can tell I don't have an actual ETP. It's just the cable coming straight into the master jack.

Yup seems to be the consensus. I wonder if I could try shielding it.
