Hi, what is inside an ETP?  Any active components?

From the photos I've seen I figure it is merely a terminal junction where the street fibre is optically 'crimped' to the house fibre, all passive.

Are there occasions when other components are installed in there?

Na, ETP is a just a junction box for the fibre and any copper that might need joining back through.

And FWIW, its a "splice" not a crimp
