They have made the national Broadband map www.broadbandmap.govt.nz live. Cunliffe referred to it in his announcement on the Government Broadband Investment fund.

You can zoom in to see what's available near you.

It shows where there are broadband services available but Telecom's ADSL still seems to be a secret.

You can also register where you want broadband made available but the map only shows the businesses who have registered. The domestic demand is kept private but can be used by the ISPs to figure out where to expand their networks.

There are still a number of wireless networks that haven't been included.
