Does anyone know what the broadband quality is like in Tawa?  We're looking at houses around Redwood or Greenacres, and I've heard the broadband out there isn't the best (due to capacity issues or a degraded copper network).

dont now the current state, but in July2010 there will be cabinet upgrades in both those areas that should provide good speeds.

Hi There I live in Linden so I may be able to help.

The exchange is down the end of oxford street by the RSA and across that walk bridge from the Tawa pool.

I am about 2.5km away and sync around 10mbps.

So redwood is quite a way from the exchange but i'm sure you would be on a cabinet but they aren't due for upgrade till 2010 as Cyril said, the exchange itself isn't to bad it used to be terrible with peak time usage and not being able to game but it's been fine for about the last year I think due to upgrades.

You can also consider GASP wireless now as there is a transmitter on Colonial Knob which is only a couple of months old I think.

Anymore questions don't hesitate to pm me or just post.
