Call your mobile phone, and see what the caller id comes up with?

That would be your landline, you obviously have a private line.

1957 should do it, but if it is not then look on your Telecom bill. It will list the numbers that are on your account. Otherwise, you can call Telecom and ask them?

1957 is the number you dial to get a line port response, it should work with all Neax's, however if you are on a TCL Nortel or maybe if the line is a PABX trunk the result my not work.

Also try 083201231
Also try calling you mobile, but precede number with 0196 (e.g. 0196 021nnnnnn). The 0196 code unrestricts caller ID for that call.

the response from 083201231 sounds like the same as what you get from dialing 1956

Yes, but should also work from other networks (well in theory, just tried on mobile and it gave a strange number)

So the line must be behind a PABX? Do you get an extension number if you call reception? Maybe there is a DDI you can work out from that.
