family member currently using 4G broadband and about to have UFB go live any day now ...

their data use is a bit erratic but say between 30-300GB depending if certain family members are around!

is there a provider that can offer something like mobile prepay where you can change your plan each month depending on what you think you'll use, or buy a new monthly plan when you run out?

my guess is no?

Would Spark's Unplan work in this situation?

Hi, Spark unplan is probably a good place to start if you use less than 60GB in a month you pay $69, and step up in $10 steps to unlimited, its what we are on an works in our favour, till the boys come home for a few days then it goes to cr@p

thanks - madness everything is within a few dollars of each other - if you get the 60GB with email speed (50/10) and one month someone uses 300GB, i don't suppose you can increase the data and/or speed for that month?

@batman not madness just cause they will use less data does not mean much at all as there is still a cost to deliver that data even if they just use 1GB for the month

I would just have a careful think about the family members prospective usage.  They possibly don't consume much right now because they can't or it costs to much, but open the floodgates and you may find their usage habits change dramatically (do more, stream more, higher resolution etc).  Considering the costs of unlimited plans these days are not much more than capped, the few extra dollars saved may not be worth the hassle of trying to manage data fluctuations. Just get unlimited, and forget about the data worry.

Hi just to clarify the unplan Is unlimited, it's just if you use less than the 60 and 120GB way points you don't pay the full price.

Someone clearly did not bother to read how unplan works even though link was provided

If you don't care about service there are unlimited UFB options as cheap as the lowest unplan tier.
