Hi There.

Complete newbie here. Just been told by Orcon, that my broadband connection has been connected at home. But, when I call home from work, the phone only makes a beep, then cut off dead. Is this normal ? I have not yet receive the broadband modem and connect it to the computer, and the computer is no turn on. Why, is the phone doing funny thing.

Is this on the new Orcon+ network?

Could be that the number port is still in progress between Telecom and Orcon.

Hi There

It is a normal purple 1GB plan, not a + plan. I got the e-mail confirmation from orcon about an hour ago, saying my broadband has now been connected.

Thanks for helping me.

What sort of phone is it? Do you have any filters installed yet?

Hi All
Thanks for all the nice reply. After 4 days without phone service. The telecom tech man came, and identify the problem is with the phone jack box. It is old, and bits of it is rusty. He put in a new one, and is working now. He also said I must use the line filter for my normal telephone at home. Many Thanks.

regards

Pak
