Seems most of Waiheke is offline tonight.  ADSL, Fibre and 3G and 4G coverage is offline.  Chorus Outage Maps hows Maraetai and Beachlands affected as well.

Anyone know anything specific about is going on?  This is very much reminiscent of the April 2019 failure that took out the whole island for a prolonged period of time.  That submarine cable that got added across Maraetai to Woodside Bay was supposed to provide redundancy to the island so I'm hoping this isn't some kind of backhaul cable fault as the island has two main links now.

@ChorusNZ can you comment on what's happening?

Hi there,

Yes, the fault should be entirely fixed now with all users back online. If you are still having connection issues, best to get in touch with your provider.

There was a cable cut in the Howick area which our technicians worked on in the early hours to restore service.

Cheers. ^DR
