With the electricity supply I give the company I wish to buy electricity from my ICP number.

How does an ISP know to connect to my house?

Does the ONT have an equivalent number to the ICP number?

What happens when I move house, how does the ISP come with me?

Simple questions but I don't know the answers.

ISP is based on your address and an ONT is tied to that address which in turn has a fibre feed for that address. So ultimately its addess.

When you move house, you tell your ISP your new address, they in-turn provision accordingly as they know the ONT tied to the address.

Good grief that is so simple!

If in doubt quote the ISP the S/N of your ONT, its on the side of the ONT normally starts ALCL........ this is what they will look at provisioning in Chorus's system and should be tied to your address

And dont take the ONT with you when you move to a new house/address.

Treat it like a fixed chattel 😀
