Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement fibre cable for my ont box. Cat chewed it! Enable charge a few hundred for replacement & call out fee apparently. Yellow cable with green plugs

Thanks!

Pretty sure the replacement has to be professionally spliced on by Enable so I don't think you can get around their call out fee

One of these will work:

But have you actually spoke to Enable/your RSP? I'm sure they would courier one out to you without a truck roll. At least that's one benefit of their installation method compared to Chorus'.

Enable and UFF have connectors on both ends. The lead-in fibre is spliced in a splice box with an SC connector so just a standard patch cord can be used to connect the ONT. Only Chorus do the splice directly to a pigtail in the back of the ONT.

Chorus' approach is much tidier, but the other approach at least means basic stuff like this can be replaced with ease.

The patch cable idea seems like a smarter approach, in order to minimise the muck around in situations like what OP is experiencing now.
Fibre damage near the ONT must be a regular issue I'd imagine, with pets and kids and whatnot. Especially if the ONT is in an exposed location.

Ring and say you have LOS light on. LFC property is the ONT and all the internal fibre cabling. Have had a pig tail break before as it was sticking out way too far and the cleaner caught it up in her lux. No cost for me (Chorus).

That was Chorus though, Enable may run things differently.

The current chorus solution for the gen3 box has a short sca to sca between a joiner in the rear splice containment and the SFP module in the rear of the ont, so you can do the same.
