We're thinking of moving to Hanmer Springs in North Canterbury and one of the considerations is broadband availability. Does anyone know the current situation on gigabit fibre in and around Hanmer, or 4G wireless as a fall-back?

From Googling, it looks like things are a bit behind the times there, but happy if I'm incorrect.

The township certainly has it, but if you're outside a bit further, probably not.

use the chorus map along with the address checker it should give you a good idea of where fibre is
