2deg is charging $10 per month for a static ip.
Is this across all providers?

Quic are doing $6/mo or $49 one-off.
see more CG-NAT coming too, open ports on an internet connection is going to be a luxury

I'm pretty sure Voyager is a one-off up front charge of $14.95, then no monthly cost. Too easy.
I probably know the answer to this already, but if you have static ip and move isp, can you take your address with you ?
I presume not, but you never know.

If you got the static IP address from your ISP, then no.

2degrees always charged monthly for a static IP, this isn't anything new - unless you had a discount in your account and it was removed.

Not at all - just use IPv6.
thx for the replies. I had a business 2deg account with a static ip, it was a $20 one off charge, a few years ago now tho.
anyone offering fibre on ipv6? Might be free then?

Voyager does, but you need to ask for it (no charge).
I've had a free static IP from Orcon for a number of years. From memory I got it when I said I was going to leave.
