My son has just moved flats and the previous tenants have taken the ONT power cable

He is in Miramar if anyone has a spare Chorus will be at least 4 days and they work from home

OP has mentioned this, I suspect they are more meaning to borrow one until a chorus replacement can arrive.

If you have to run heating in winter, you don’t own enough computers.

You need to ask him what model ONT is in the flat as there are different power supplies.

They're completely standard 12V barrel jack connectors, (almost) any 12V wall wart will work. I've been running mine off a Meanwell power brick that also runs a bunch of other stuff since about ten minutes after it was installed.

The early 100 &200 series ONTs didn't have barrel connectors. "DC Power Connector: 8 Pin (2 Rows of 4 Pins) Molex NBN plug connector as used by most popular ONT (Optical Network Terminal) devices."

Probably for the best, if a third-party power supply damaged the ONT your son could be liable for any costs to fix it.

It's annoying when people take the power cable and they're not meant to. Last time I moved house I just went ahead and ordered one before packing. It turned up before I got here but luckily the last person didn't take it with them, so I have a spare if my next place needs it.
