Trying to help a friend with a Nighthawk router , but having no joy....

ISP is One

Removed the ISP router, plugged in the Nighthawk, and went through its setup wizard - cant connect.

So accessed the advanced options, enabled VLAN tagging (10), still cant connect.

Tried with and without account/password, still no difference.

What am I missing ?

Can see there are two WAN ports on the router, have you tried the other port if one doesn't work?

I think with these multi-wan port routers, they have somewhere you can set one of them to be the "internet" port. I found this in the Documentation (all done from the router dashboard)

  1. Select Internet.
    The Internet Setup page displays.
  2. In the WAN Preference section, select Multi-Gig Port (2.5/1 Gbps).

Then I hope it should work.. unless the setup wizard got you to set this already.

Was reading the reviews for this product and found something you could check:

If you find you're not connecting to the internet, go to your Advanced Settings, then VLAN / Bridge Settings. Then tick 'Enable VLAN Bridge Group' and choose 'By VLAN tag group'.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.
