Hey Guys.

how’s your experience with might mobile faster and rocket plus plans.

Seeing Rocket is 40Mbps and Mighty is 50Mbps

thinking of getting myself one of the above. Also I know rocket has a hotspot limit of 20gb. What’s the hotspot limit on mighty?

Love to hear your experience and decide

Thanks in advanced

I have been using rocket for the last couple of months on their $45. Only had 1 issue where the internet stop but a quick airplane on/off fixed it. Did not have any issues with streaming (Netflix etc), Spotify or anything else. I did notice that app updates were slower to download etc. Overall it worked well as a data sim.
They do reuse old numbers as soon as the eSIM loaded I was getting random calls for someone else until I told the person to stop f***ing calling it. Lol

I have been using Mighty Mobile since they launched.  On the Faster plan.

No issues with speed for me even with travelling round the country. Just the same black spots as with OneNZ.
Unlimited data is great haven't noticed any throttling.
Using hotspot for video call can be a bit downgraded but no complaints.

They just added the daily roaming hoping to test that out soon.

There is defiantly something with the hotspotting on mighty that is really bad and slow.

I have the Fast plan (10 megabit) and playing tidal in Max high-res on the phone works fine, but on a wifi hotspotted car or PC, even High 16 bit 44.1khz playback is not reliable. I got the $20 deal so will not be upgrading to the next plan up till that expires to see if it helps at all, but there is a clear divide between performance on the handset and hotspot with the 10 meg plan. Frequent map loads in the car will stall and browsing over hotspot will lag considerably, all while the phone itself is working perfectly to scroll thru insta or something.

Same devices on my older phone on a capped One plan play perfectly fine. That phone is only 4G so should be worse in theory, but its not.
