Found this in our front garden when trying to plant a tree. I'm guessing its some kind of connector for a broadband connection, but what kind? Fibre, Cable, DSL ? We've had all kinds over the years. Would be good to know if this is the connection we are currently using.

Thanks!

Fibre has been cut (likely accidental at some stage) and thats how they join broken fibre.

It would have cost someone several hunder dollars to get repaired.

Interesting you have 'found' it - probably what someone did last time with a spade.

Ideally, they should have buried the cable deeper.

Its a join for the tube holding the air blown fibre.

There's one on the boundary for most properties where the a tube from the main network meets the tube to the house that was installed later.

If its inside the boundary it could be from a previous damage.
