Moved in today and migrated fibre from my old address. Got a Chorus text saying to turn on the ONT and plug in modem. Then a few hours later got an email from Sky saying I’m good to go.

however I have a red LOS light on my ONT. is this likely to the migration still taking place or is it a physical fault?

Usually that means a fault. Let Sky know, they can troubleshoot, and (if need be) forward a fault to Chorus to investigate further.

What a pain. There was a ‘spare’ ONT left here by the old owner which is odd so I wonder if that’s a factor. Have put in a support ticket with Sky

Hmmm never a good sign - flick me your address in a PM and I'll take a look. Let me know the serial number of both the ONTs please :)

Just closing this one out - Chorus fault technician is onsite now fixing the fibre break at the boundary.

Yep, all fixed. Quick & professional response from Chorus. A few breaks along the fibre that was hidden from previous owners as they use One HFC.
