I need a cheap broadband plan for approx $30 per month inc gst.

1. It dosent need to be fast, 128k each way is fine.
2. Just need to free up the phoneline.
3. NO, I repeat NO overcharges.  As user has no idea how much they download and is not good at limiting themselfs.
4. Telecom customer currently (dial up), no they wont change call/toll provider.  Just BB plan.
6. Xtra Basic is no good as it has overcharges.  Xnets Stream would have been perfect, but they nolonger offer it.

Any Idea's at all??  Or am I going to have to get them to pay $40 for Xtra's Go plan?

This wont help but Xnet had a "Stream" plan in the past. Theyve recently removed it from their offering. Its 256k down and 128k up.

Im still on this plan and pay $26 + $1 per GB of data. My bill is alywas less than $30.

Maybe ring them and ask if they can still do the plan? Begging might be wise?

Some of the other ISP's have the same thing but ping you $10 is you dont have calling with them. Xnet dont do this (I have my calkling with Telcom as I make a lot of 0161 calls).

Telecom have something too from meory but it only has 256mb of data (which equals a big FAIL)

Have a look at http://www.nzconnection.net/Internet_Plan_and_Pricing_Comparisons:_ADSL_Broadband_plans
There don't appear to be any truely "unlimited" 128k/256k plans anymore, although there are several that have day/day limits that then throttle you to 64k/etc.

But they're all more than $30.. The worldnet one might work, but that's throttled after the 700MB/day limit and costs more thean $30
Looks like you might be out of luck.
