I am moving into a house for a short time, mayb 3 months maybe 12. Apart from Orcon are there any other ADSL providers that provide no contract terms ie. no penalty for leaving before 12 months is up..

Orcon only have 128K upload which as we all know hinders download...

I am in Lower Hutt if that helps any, and no cable is not an option - out of area!

I went with Orcon in the end, the only other I could find was Xtreme Networks but they were not intrested in supplying to residential.

In regards to the speed for an extra $10 a month they increase your speed to FLS/FLS and so that sealed the deal. $74.95 for no contract, FLS/FLS and 26GB of data, cheaper than my current TelstraClear cable but its still ADSL :(

Um there is a funny thing with Maxnet's contract. Apparently they cover the $99 connection fee if you go on contract. and if you disconnect you only get charged $75 bucks.

If you want no contract then they charge you $99. Seems funny but it is always cheaper to go with the contract. This cracks me up.
