I've currently got an old D-Link Generation 1 DSL-G604T wireless / router / modem which works ok. Recently though, I bought an Apple Time Capsule to manage at least part of my backup strategy for my three Macs. It's designed to be setup as the wireless hotspot, and connected to your broadband modem/router. In this configuration the backups will occur much faster than they do for me at present, where I've set up the Time Capsule as a wireless client of the D-Link.

So, I'm considering buying a standalone ADSL modem to pair up with the Time Capsule. I'm looking for something that's small and quiet (the D-Link has an annoying high-pitched whine) that also has all the features we like to see in modems these days: UPnP, ADSL 2+ etc etc.

(I could set up the D-Link in this role and deactivate the wireless, but I would rather get a newer piece of kit - the old D-Link has a bit of trouble with lots of bittorrent peers, and even when I'm not using bittorrent has to be reset almost twice a day.)

Any recommendations?
