Ok for the last few days when I go to facebook, I log in and get to my screen, but when i try to do anything else, it just goes WAYY to slow. It's even timed out a few times trying to accept frien requests. All other pages on the net seem to be working fine, but this is really bugging me because I want to get back on it, but its just to damn slow. Also, It only seems to be a problem with firefox, IE8 runs fine with it but I need my firefox, its just way better than IE IMO. I dont know if this means anything but I just upgraded to windows 7 on friday from vista ultimate. worked fine when I had vista. And downgrading is not an option so dont even mention that. lol

if you have the AdBlockPlus addon enabled, try disabling it.

Have you changed to use something like OpenDNS instead of your ISP's own DNS server?

I recently installed skype and the sype addon in firefox (automatically installed) caused facebook to run like a dog. Disabled the skype add-in and it works fine now.

try using m.facebook.com - nice and light - if this still runs really slow then Id suspect local issue as well such as plugins etc

sometimes I even prefer using m.facebook.com even when I'm sitting at a desktop computer, as it just plain nicer in some ways :)

Another thing you could do is try a 3rd browser eg: Google Chrome. If Chrome is ok and IE is ok you can probably look reinstalling Firefox.

I reinstalled firefox a few times, I think it might just be firefox not playing nice with windows 7, because when i close the main window and try to open it later it says that its still running and i have to close it through task manager to open it again. Oh well, thanks for your help, and also yeh I did try the m.facebook.com, its best to use it on my phone. lol. to stretched for me IMO. thanks

Sam
