Hi, Im currently considerin to change my internet from Xnet as i just realised a few days ago that without using Fusion on Xnet I did not get the advantages of ADSL2+~ so I average speeds of download=1.2mb/s upload=0.9mb/s while my friends had speeds around 8mb/s....from speedtest.net (i take 1 hr + to download a 100mb file = =)
I use around 25~30G a month, and would like fast speeds for gaming and international live web tv, atm Im considerin changing from Xnet to Orcon or Telecom...
so i was jst wonderin if anyone could give me any advice on the speeds of orcon (bronze+ or silver+) compared to telcom (Big Time or Adventure)? eg international speeds and speeds at peak time?
also Telecom's Big Time plan provides unlimited data, which of course would be idea for me to watch live tv and play gamin plus a lot of downloads, but i was wonderin how the speed would cope if i changed to this plan (since it says there is a slow down in speed)? would i be able to play games on international servers eg from US west or from asian servers (taiwan) and watch web tv (live from taiwan) without any lag? (normally i need 4mins to load a 2min youtube video..)
oh and i live within 50metres of the brownsbay exchange so im pretty sure that distance and avaliability of adsl2+ isnt a problem for me =)
ive personally had really bad experience with telecoms customer service, however i heard that there hasnt been much complaint recently? and im not really considerin other companies such as snap or maxnet cus i have a limited budget of around $60 a month
so could anyone please gimme some advice as to whether its worth changing back to telecom(has contract) or try orcon(no contract)?
