Hi there does anyone know where the broadband exhange is for the glenfield malborough area i live in Wykeham place of lingfield street which is of chart well ave auckland glenfield. im trying to establish how far i am from it cause ive been having a few speed slow downs on my internet recently.
hmmmm according to that webpage i'm not due to be cabinetised untill april next yr but when i talked to the corus guys working on the cabnets i got a whole different story he told me they'd be up and running by the end of december this yr
It said on the maps that the cabnets may be done earlier. I really hope mine gets done early as it is meant to be done October next year!!!
<rant> What I find annoying is that we were one of the first broadband customers in our area (according to my dad) and we will be one of the last areas in our town to get ADSL2+ (and they try to look after their loyal customers!). We had it back in the days when it was called Jetstream and all of the usernames were like "xtr12345@jetstream.xtra.co.nz" or something like that. </rant>
I am not supposed to have ADSL2+ until Jan next year, but got it a month ago. So it looks like they may be ahead of schedule a bit. Much better early than late :)
hmmmm maybe the govt has finally grown a pair and told Telecom to get a move on who knows but atleast i'll finally be able to get the speed i'm paying for instead of lingering around 1.7~2.5mbps sync rate specially when my 48~49db attenuation says i should be getting closer to 5mbps
i agree with you you Athlonite i currently can only get up to 2.70mbps on slingshots big thing no 2 plan which sucks i should be hitting over 1mb its ok for now but when im on xbox live download speed is good but upload speed sucks hopefully we will be upgraded soon
Check out this page on the chorus website and download the spreadsheet called Cabinet Migration Schedule. It is the latest and most up to date list of when cabinets will and have been completed.
