Could anyone explain to me what Packet Loss is? and how it might affect my internet speeds?
I just used speedtest.net and tried the Ping test and found that I had 100% Packet Loss @@!
I dont think thats normal.... could anyone tell me how I could fix this to maybe improve my speeds a bit? Has it got something to do with my modem/router wiring or is it just the isp I use?

Thanks

Thats not really correct, that site shows 100% packet loss if your router or firewall blocks ICMP ie ping traffic.

What are your speeds? Who is your ISP?

Assuming you're on ADSL you could post your modem/router stats here including sync rate and signal strength. Packet loss won't be the cause of low speeds, the majority of people who have low ADSL speeds find the issue is commonly related to their house phone wiring.
