Ok 1st thing; I've read the sticky above but I thought I'd still make a topic because I want some good discussion about it, not just facts.
Ok well I'm going into a 5 person flat. We need line rental + home phone + internet. I guess everyone will be pretty active on the internet so we'll need at least 20gb, probably more like 40gb.
Most of the calls will be local with a few exceptions every week.
If we could keep all of this with one ISP it will be probably better.
so the obvious answer is Telecom with Big Time broadband? I've heard Big Time is really slow during the day? Is it reliable. Speed will be halved at least during most time during the day (possibly 1/5 times if everyone is online at once).
Pros: Unlimited Data. No "Stop taking all the usage, man!"
Cons: Slow speed, unreliable connections?
So is Big time a good choice?
What else is there? Obviously Telecom Pro interet (40gb) that give you better speeds usually? Is that right?
Slightshot and Xnet have both have unlimited usage off-peak times. I've heard Xnet is really bad at the moment though. What about Slingshot?
The flat is in Wellington.
What do you guys think?
