I have had a couple of issues with my broadband over a couple of days here is my story.
I have a line splitter installed no need for filters. I was with orcon on an adsl2+ platinum plan with interleaving turned off to get the best ping possible and I rarely ever got disconected from the net the only time that I got disconected was when the modem was restarting. I was rougly getting up/down 1.2mb/4.0mb with 4ms-10ms on aucklands server via speedtest.net this was awesome! Plus I was connected directly to the exchange it was far away but still okay. Then they cabinetised me. Now I was running on adsl1 because orcon didn't have their hardware installed in that cabinet so that meant 800kb(adsl max)/8mb(adslmax) and 20-30ms and sometimes I got disconnected. I wanted the best of the best I wanted my adsl2+ back! So I went to telecom as they had their adsl2+ equipment in the cabinet now I get 828kb/15.2mb this is from my modem 52ms plus frequent disconnections. I understand the person who swapped me over on the phone put me on a GO plan instead of a PRO plan with the interleaving turned off hence maybe the high ms/ping. I have been with telecom so far for 3 days and I understand that they promised no change in my internet I should not get any disconections it should have been seemless so refund I shall receive. So guys what do you think?

I have called telecom they have come around replaced some wiring trying to find out if it's on my end but it's definetly not even I know that then they went away then gave me a call saying that they might need to change the port at the cabinet? I have no idea what that is. But every time I mention to them I am getting slow upload speeds and bad ping they just go but thats good upload speeds even your download speeds are great which isn't a big deal to me. I am a frequent online gamer and uploader I love to send photos to my girlfriend and upload them to photobucket and I am a very impatient person at times. Any help would do anything to get the best possible connection except! Replacing the whole line because I know my line is perfect even though it's got dino wiring as the telecom man said lol!
Kind Regards,
