You can't really got fixed line for a month, unless you want to pay an early termination fee between $100 and $200. Although, doesn't Orcon offer no contract? Either way, it would be a lot easier to get mobile broadband from Vodafone or Telecom as John said above.

With Vodafone you can buy a 3g usb vodem stick for $99 which has $40 credit loaded. You can then buy Broadband Surfer addon for $30 which includes 512mb data ( didnt that use to be $40? )

Orcon has no contract terms. Go with them. :)

I would say get mobile broadband too, depending on how much data you would be using

PC: 3.3ghz Core i5-2500, 8gb DDR3, ATI Radeon 5850, 27" QHD IPS Monitor

Mobile Phone: iPhone 5 32gb Graphite.

This isn't available on account though right?

So if i wanted 512mb of data on account, i'd have to pay $10 for broadband lite and than another $41.20 to get up to 512mb? (at 10c per MB after the first 100)

So if you are on account, 512mb will cost $51.20 but if you are on prepay, it will cost you $30?

hmmm....... unless i'm missing something?

It depends where this will be used - coverage vary from network to network and speeds too. If you let us know where...

Ok, in this case probably either network will do it for you. Both offer prepay data plans as well. Telecom XT seems to be a good fit because you can have a prepay plan but they actually charge the amount used up to the plan cost, then it's free to the cap - if you use less than the plan cost then you pay less.
