We've met all the requirements for ADSL2+, Which we have, Using only 2 Phonejacks, No Sky.

Any idea whats up with it? We've recently moved, only a short distance (Back one house :P) and the speeds have kept the same, but the wiring is this house seems better, less disconnections, used to be more than 3 times a day, now I havent been disconnected for the three weeks we've been here.

But the speed is the same, I hoped it would change a bit, but hasn't.

EDIT: By the way, I didn't have any downloads going, this is purely the speed, always has been. Can only ever reach around 100KB/s downloading.

Please post your modem line stats, posting a does not help diagnose the issue from your end out.

If you line is in good working order you should have no disconnections for weeks on end, disconnections indicates wiring problems

Yeah definitely sounds like a problem with the filters/wiring, a dodgy one would likely cause those issues, especially disconnections

I have moved across the ditch. Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

Borrow a good modem to try at your place (that you know has good speeds at your mates place), and compare performance with your modem. Also make sure Bittorrent is not running at all when you do the test and watch out for any unexplained traffic on the LAN. Make sure your antivirus is up to date of course....

Time to find a new industry!
