Hi. Here is my story. I just moved into a new flat a few months ago. And I've using the internet for a few months, this month the speeds have been really slow.
I'm curious to know what is going on with the internet plan here and I need help. I want to know if my landlord is lying to me about the plan.
She said she's paying $40 a month and of course I'm now paying half of that each month.
And she says the plan is for 500 megs a month.
lol?
500 megs for $40????
either she is on a ridiculous plan and excuse my ignorance here but she might, she mentioned she could pick up her internet and take it anywhere around the country, without installation costs apparently o.0, sorry this is where my noobiness comes in but I'm not so familiar with woosh, how does that work ?
what plan would she therefore likely be on?

And sorry to ask *THIS* but where can I find an uptodate woosh pricing plan, I've tried a bunch of google hits only to find ones which are outdated or don't have the year printed on the article/site.

p.s. i'm not sure why she would lie to me( if she is lying), maybe she cut my internet down somehow? and decided to lie to me about the size?

Whoosh Pricing here - http://www.woosh.com/ContentClient/Internet/InternetPricing.aspx . No idea what the situation is.

I don't get it either.
P.s. I forgot to mention, the phoneline here is not with woosh. Also she said something about 2006, I think she was saying she's been on this plan since 2006. Yet I'm sure woosh would automatically update customers on old plans wouldn't they?

Try http://www.ip-adress.com/ - this should tell you what IP address you have, and who your ISP is.

At least then you'd know for sure if you're using Woosh (it appears you're not sure of this?).

Best of all, have a chat with your Landlord, she may not understand exactly what's going on, and that there are better plans available today. It's probably not a matter of lying, rather one of education.

P.

No, I was 100% sure internet is with woosh. Just the phoneline isn't. ^^

Anyway, topic is resolved. I came home today and she told me she was mistaken, it was 5 gigs, not 500 megs. I thought she knew better than to make such a stupid mistake.

Really wish she would of asked when the internet resets. >.<

If we knew when it resets we could know when it's out of data and when it's just plain acting up.

If you can get the username/password to her account, you can go to woosh.co.nz -> my account -> data usage.
