Any Decent broadband available in Manakau North, RD 31 Manakau (Levin)?

ClearNet landline is running at a pretty steady 24KB/s on downloads, Telecom landline next door doesn't seem any better.

I am parked outside in a mobile home using an XT T stick getting 400+KBs/s at times but Mobile Broadband is too expensive for the occupants.

Hi, I looked at buying a property on that road about 3yrs ago and did some research. The chances of any decent speeds are pretty dismal, the exchange is back in Manakau itself a couple of doors along from the pub (great pub by the way).

I looked at options like putting a WiFi link to the top of the ranges on the hill separating the town from that valley where the road twists around the edge of the hills, could work and cover the whole valley might get some takers to help pay for it.

Not looking good for videos or gaming then, never mind ordinary updates.

If I was living here, rather than just visiting, I'd be looking up the hill with you :)
