Hi,

We have been with slingshot for some time (xtra orginally, then ditching them for Orcon and then they became shocking and then we rested with Slingshot), anyway we recently changed from the Inferno plan on Slingshot to one of their new plans with a bigger cap and since we have, we have noticed major changes in our speed.

We managed 1.2-1.4Mb/s downloads previously on slingshot but we are lucky to hit anything above 200Kb/s now on this plan and we are pissed off tbh and Slingshot haven't helped one iota so we are looking to ditch them all together.

We are looking for a FS/FS plan with a minimum for 15GB of data each month (but they must allow for additional data purchase as we occasionally need an extra 50gb ever 2 months or so)

I am going through some sites now, but any user experiences would be greatly appreciated (We are located in Central Dunedin if its helps)

Sadly you might find Slingshot are the cheapest but perhaps price doesnt really matter to you?

Im with Slingshot also and also looking to move... just waiting to see Orcons new plans, but I wont hold my breath that they will be any good...

Once upon a time Orcon was good value and Telecom had the worst prices and the most market share... now it seems Telecoms pricing is almost reasonable, so maybe for the sake of a few dollars per month it really does come down to who can provide the fastest most reliable connection...

The "plan finder"is not going to tell you this and perhaps we cant help either? what might be good here in Auckland or wellington etc might be crap in Dunedin

Doing your best is much more important than being the best.

webwat: Read this before asking about the best ISP

I did read it, and even went to the link which is out of date.

So i figured I would ask for direct user opinions
