It would probably pay to be a little more specific about what you're after an opinion on - Compass offer a myriad of different delivery platforms (both wired and wireless) and  number of different products.

I used their wireless for quite a while. As with any provider they were good and bad.

The main problem was that I was on VOIP and when my wireless link went down they wouldn't allow calls from mobiles to their 0800 number, so I was stung for my calls to an Auckland number from my mobile.

I switched ISP's using the same wireless platform (and same hardware, which wasn't changed) 6 months ago and my wireless hasn't gone down since...

Some neighbors were talking about going to fair go for compass as they have no end of trouble and the run around. I suspect they have a problem router as the wireless side seems very reliable.

If you are using the wireless option http://www.ps.net.nz would be a good option. They use the same gear and seem pretty reliable. That's who I am with.

I couldn't comment on their ADSL products as didn't use that. They sell cheap phone cards! (if you wander into any dairy you will see their name all over those calling cards posters)

Cheers, Matt.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.
