From the Press release

The 150/35 Mbps residential offer will be available to the majority of FiOS-eligible households, and sold as a stand-alone service starting at $194.99 a month when purchased with a one-year service agreement and Verizon wireline voice service.

Would you pay USD195/mth (NZD250/mth) plus wireline services for 150/35 Mpbs?

Bearing in mind Telstraclear offering 25/2 for $210/mth (120G included).......

How much is the "Verizon Wireline" phone service that is required in the bundle?

In usual Verizon manner its hard to find unless you're in an area they offer services but the implicit price (after removing discounts) from a bundle is $15/mth.

I don't believe that the listed prices include tax so a roughly-equivalent NZ price would be more like $290. I certainly wouldn't pay that much; I'd be happy with 20 Mb/s (or probably even 10 for that matter).

Nope, not attractive to me.

However, I imagine it could be attractive to people who work extensively online from home or 5-6 people flats/apartments etc.
