So can all ISPs connect me to the cabinet or only some of them?

My cabinet is set for VDSL2 any day now and yet I recently changed ISPs and went from a consistent 14-16 Meg to less than 2.  Have I gone from Cabinet to Exchange and what can I do to get back?

Every ISP connects to a cabinet or excahnge if they're using Telecom Wholesale services. If they're using ther own ULL equipment they can only connect to an exchange.

Hi Brendon, go to the Telecom wholesale map site and check exactly where you are in the scheme, and are you on a ULL connection (Voda Red, Orcon Purple or Telstra direct) and determine if you should be on such an connection or put back to a Telecom wholesale connection.

Don't expect to be connected to VDSL anytime soon and get ready to open your wallet

Why would you change ISP when getting those speeds BTW?

i also seeing his speed dropped..
the reason for change perhaps more datacap for a cheaper price?
you could ask them to change you from exchange to cabinet, in some case you might have to pay $10/month more for that. :)

Is that speed a download (ie throughput) speed test, or the actual connection speed on your router's status page? If you're in a cabinetised area then you don't want to be connected back to the exchange because interference will slow it down.

Time to find a new industry!

They offered me two months free and a free cellphone with 500txts per month for free!!! (on account with no monthly fee for 2 years)
an offer too good to be true.
Almost a month later and I havent seen the phone yet...

Now would be good but thats certainly not what Ive got so far...
