Had a letter today signed by Woosh outgoing general manger of sales and marketing Sandra Geange saying that I must upgrade my modem firmware by Thursday April 13.

Customers who don't upgrade will see a negative impact on network and service performance, apparently.

There's a modem upgrade tool here that's about 9MB in size. Works for both the PC Card and modem.

Get to it, my Wooshie little friends... :)

Interesting - I haven't had any correspondence from them about it. I recall getting an email from them a couple of months ago to advise me to upgrade my firmware, which I subsequently did, but I haven't been informed of any upgrades since then.

Forgot to say that the letter states the 9MB download won't be counted against your monthly data allowance.

Just ensure you are on the woosh network to download it, Kinda a problem if it stops working and you want to use mates DSL t fix your modem.

I will be mirroring these files soon for those unable to connect to woosh.

Good question. Do you have the old style one still? I would expect the upgrade is only for the present generation modems and PC cards. Woosh should've upgraded all customers however. If you still have the old modem, I'd give them a call and ask for a new one to be sent out.
