Hi guys,

Are all uni students and pretty big downloaders.
Looking for a plan with 60+ gb a month, any suggestions?

Flat is in dunedin so not sure which isp to go with.

Cheers.

Budget?

Look at Slingshot or Xnet for their free download periods, although the speed won't be good. Otherwise I'd recommend Snap - great quality and speed - (based in Chch) or Orcon - cheap data.

You could try Total Home Broadband from Telecom: http://www.telecom.co.nz/totalhomebroadband

Yea looking for anything around $100. Have previoulsy been with slingshot and they were terrible. Would rather try to avoid them.

dont forget Snap has there unlimited download. For 3 nights for $5 from 1am to 7am you can download as much as you like and there speeds are good anytime of day.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

With or without homeline? You'll be pushing your luck for that amount of data for that budget.

  • Vodafone Ultimate Pack (inc home line) with 30 gigs data $100 + double data $30.60 = $130.60 for 60 gigs

  • Telecom Home line $48.30 + Pro 40 gigs $81 = $128.30 + $2 per gig overage $40 = $168.30

  • Slingshot All you can Eat $80 + Home Line $49 = $129

  • Snap Pro 60 gigs $89.95 + Home Line $45 = $134.95 OR Snap Naked DSL B 30 gigs $89.95 + 30 gigs at $56 = $145.95 [and/or addon: $5 for 3 nights free download]

  • Orcon Gold with homeline and 70 gigs $165

  • Xnet Naked $64.95 OR $39.95 HSI (and homeline from another ISP) + $1.28 per GB ($76.80 for 60 gigs)

Excuse any dodgy maths its been a long day. There are plenty more options but I'm just going with the main ISP's. You might have to stoop to Slingshot or up your budget. You could try Worldnet but I'd suggest more research.
