Ok so i'm with pl.net for my isp (family internet provider and not my choice at all) and have absolutely horrid speeds and ping... I mean 569ms to AUCKLAND?!?!? I live in Auckland and quite frankly that is ridiculous. So my question is whether my isp is just awful or could it be a problem with wiring/congestion at the Mount Eden exchange?

What are your ADSL modem connection stats? They are the very first thing you need to look at.

I'm not really that tech savvy but I think this is what you're asking for?

Are you sure you haven't exceeded a cap and have been throttled right down?

This is the sort of speeds you get if you are.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

Your data is 3982 Megabytes.

The total shown is the total time of completed sessions at midnight last night.

^20gb cap so nope, also it isn't a throttled plan, pay per gb over

Then I'd be logging a fault because something's very, very wrong.
