Hi there,

Today I have successfully transferred a file >50MB in a very small timeframe at a Telecom Wi-Fi Hotspot at a speed that beggars to belief! it took me less than 4 mins to transfer it (go on! I know you want to know - 14.5Mb per minute!!!).

Now thats al very well but: When I tried to transfer the SAME file last night from my FULL RATE ADSL Xtra Jetstream connection at home, the file transfer was 1.2Mb per minute :(

Is this a telecom promotional thing to get people "attracted" to using fast broadband at uncomfortable hotspots (like Starbucks) or are we putting up with CR#P SERVICE at home from my $50/mth + Internet provider....

This s#cks...

Whats funnier though - my transfer from home cost me $$ against my usage - my Hotspot usagae is FREE!

Go figure...
