I was wondering if anyone has ever had any problems using the woosh modem dialler with XP Media Edition? I can't seem to connect using it and have to configure a connection manually using *99# to connect. It basically means that I can't use the status monitor which would be kind of handy since my signal isn't the best at the best of times. If anyone has any ideas they would be much appreciated...cheers

kaya: Woosh doesn't support Media Edition
Really? Windows Media Edition is pretty much like Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, just Windows XP Pro with an extension.

I suggest the OP contact Woosh directly for support, and report back here so others could see what's the solution for this.

Hi and thanks for your replies.  After countless times on hold and trying to get to the bottom of this issue again, I did finally find that the woosh software "probably doesn't support XP media edition" according to a guy at woosh.  He's going to send me a new installation CD as I joined back in Oct of last year and see if that makes a difference, but it doesn't sound too promising.

I was kind of stunned to hear that the person I spoke to on the phone said that the IP wireless software was rubbish, but I guess I give him 10 out of 10 for honesty.

So its back to the drawing board.

Despite MCE being built on XP pro nothing much seems to work on it. For some reason there are hardly any drivers in it and many games and seemingly ordinary just wont install
