hairy1: If you are unable to get any timeframe from Compass you could look at switching to one of the other providers who offer services via the wired country network.

I am using the wired country network with another ISP and have had no problems.

Will make no difference. If your CPE was power cycled it would not of come back up.
Packing Shed, like all ISP's selling "Wired Country" are just reselling the Compass Wireless (ex Wired Country) service. All provisioning and back haul etc is carried over on the Compass network.
