hey there,
i have been looking at the satellite broadband available in NZ, i understand why it is so expensive.
2 degrees appears to be the cheapest of them all, are they?
also could a stick from an overseas provider be used in nz? or do satellites not work in that way?
thanks :P new to this form of broadband!

2degrees do not offer satellite broadband, as their technology is cell based, not satellite based.

And you would need a satellite dish for that, not a USB stick. Completely different technologies.

While there are some satellite broadband services in NZ they do not work with a stick from NZ or overseas. You need a satellite dish to receive them. Sticks get there signals for phone and internet from terrestrial transmission towers on land.

Depends entirely where you want to use it. The fact you're mentioning satellite infers you're in a rural area, in which case 2degrees will be roaming on Vodafone so their cheap on-net data prices don't apply.
