When playing World of Warcraft or downloading big files (more then 50 mb) my computer stop responding and picture on screen becoming frozen. And it happens only when I am using Woosh connection. I tried to change computers: before it was pentium 4 3Ghz with 512Mb RAM, and now same situation with Pentium D 1024 RAM.

What did Woosh say when you called them to log a fault?

Nothing. They asked me to wait 48 hours. I'll try to call them again.

I assume you're connecting the modem via USB? Have you tried using the ethernet cable or running it through a router? I noticed an improvement in performance on my Windows machine when I stopped using the USB cable in favour of connecting the modem to a wireless router. This leads me to believe that the modem driver or dialler software is a resource hog.

The modem has a proprietory type of port, into which you connect a cable which suits your requirements. Woosh supply these modems with a USB cable, which is obviously what you have, but you can go to a Woosh dealer and buy an ethernet cable reasonably cheaply.

The cables are about $30 and you can AVOID all the "woosh" crap that comes with the PC the moment you have connected through USB once...

Let me know when you get the Ethernet cable and I'll step you through removing the disgusting 100 megs of woosh software and using woosh the sleek, reliable way.

Not my case, I still having a freeze problem from woosh connection. Uninstalled the Woosh Driver software and using only Ethernet connection and the problem disappear.

But on my laptop, it now takes upto 15 minutes after connected to Woosh before I can do anything else. Still need the Driver software because of PCMCIA card. 512MB 1.6GHz check system performance CPU 100% with nothing else but Woosh.
