Firstly apologies if this has been discussed in the past.
I have purchased a new section in a new residential subdivision which the developer markets as "Fibre ready"
I think that Chorus installed the telecommunication network within the new subdivision.
What does all this mean?
Does it cost anything extra to get connected to fibre compared to the older copper network
Do I still have the same choice of phone and ISP providers that I would have with copper
Is there only fibre installed, i.e is there still an option to connect to a copper network?
How do I go about getting connected? Do I talk to a phone/ISP company or to Chorus?
What broadband speeds can I expect to get?
Are there special broadband plans for those with FTTP , if yes are they more expensive?
